Oklahoma gives a registered nurse a central part in personal care: an agency providing personal care only employs or contracts with a supervising physician or registered nurse who is available to advise caregivers whenever care is given, the registered nurse reviews each plan of care at least every six months, and caregivers working under the RN-trained route (63 O.S. 1-1962(D)(9)) are trained continuously by a registered nurse and visited on site by one at least every three months.
